Who We Are
At Texas Builders Insurance Company our sole focus is writing Workers’ Compensation Insurance coverage. Texas Builders has provided workers’ compensation coverage to policyholders since 1987. We work with large and small independent agencies across the state and we write a wide range of business types (click here to see class codes we target). Also we will consider “new to comp” and we currently have no per – policy minimums.
Our History
Texas Builders Insurance Company was incorporated under the laws of Texas on May 7, 1987 and received its Certificate of Authority from the Texas Department of Insurance on June 9, 1987. Texas Builders was initially established by 13 Texas highway contractors for the purpose of providing workers’ compensation coverage which at that time was cost prohibitive for the exposures presented by street and road contractors. Since our inception much has changed at Texas Builders Insurance Company, we currently write a broad range of business throughout the State of Texas for over 150 independent agents. We have a diversified book of business that targets a wide range of class codes from artesian contractors to main street business risks.
Administration of the Company is directed by Robert C. Siddons - President, Andrew J. Reynolds -Executive Vice-President and Treasurer, Benjamin A. Siddons-Vice-President, Richard A. Barry -Vice-President of Underwriting, Vickilynn Renfrow, Vice-President of Financial Reporting, and Terry Stone - Claims Manager.
