Overview
It is the goal of the Claims Department to provide quality claims service to our insureds and their employees within the rules and regulations of the Division of Workers’ Compensation and in accordance with the Labor Codes.
We are devoted to providing prompt and fair claims service to all participants involved in the Workers’ Compensation process. It is our goal to promptly investigate, analyze and administer benefits owed on all reported claims.
We have a seasoned and experienced adjusting staff. Our whole focus is the adjustment and adjudication of Workers’ Compensation claims, as we write no other lines of coverage. In addition, our claims to adjuster ratio is one of the lowest in the industry. We pride ourselves in the fact that we investigate, adjust, and handle claims rather than pay claims.
Utilization of field adjusting is not a foreign concept at Texas Builders. Rather, it is the norm in any serious injury claims, or claims in which there are questions or potential disputes. We still believe in face-to-face investigations and follow up visits with claimants during their rehabilitation process. This is either achieved by use of staff adjusting personnel, independent adjusting personnel, or field case management.
On May 25, 2008 and again on August 21, 2009 the TBIC Claims Department was designated as an Insurance Carrier High Performer by the TDI/DWC in the inaugural Performances Board Oversight (PBO) assessment. We are proud of our achievement.
